General
What is Prolific Peptides?
Prolific Peptides supplies high-purity research peptides and related compounds for laboratory and in-vitro scientific investigation. All products are sold strictly for Research Use Only (RUO) and are not intended for human or veterinary use. RUO status applies to every product in our catalog without exception, regardless of how a compound is described in third-party research or media coverage.
What does “Research Use Only” (RUO) mean?
RUO means a product is supplied solely for laboratory research: “For Research Use Only. Not for Human Consumption.” It is not a drug, food, cosmetic, or dietary supplement, has not been evaluated by the FDA, and is not intended for human consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or therapeutic application.
What are peptides?
Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked in a specific sequence, studied in research settings for their structure, receptor-binding behavior, and biochemical activity.
Who can purchase from Prolific Peptides?
Products are sold to qualified researchers, laboratories, and institutions purchasing for lawful research use only. Buyers must be at least 21 years old and agree not to resell, reformulate, misbrand, or use products for human or veterinary administration.
Purity & Lab Testing
What purity do Prolific Peptides products meet?
Purity targets vary by product complexity. Single peptides are independently verified to ≥98–99% purity using HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) and mass spectrometry. Longer or more complex peptides (e.g., IGF-1 LR3) may carry a different validated purity threshold reflecting synthesis complexity — see the product’s COA for its specific guaranteed purity. Blended products list each individual peptide’s purity on the COA; blend ratio accuracy is verified separately from single-compound purity.
What’s the difference between HPLC and mass spec on a COA?
HPLC measures the peptide’s percentage purity. Mass spectrometry confirms molecular identity — that the compound matches the molecular weight stated on the label. A complete Certificate of Analysis includes both.
Are products tested for anything beyond purity?
Yes — batches are also screened for heavy metals and endotoxins, since a peptide can test 99% pure on HPLC while still carrying elevated endotoxin levels from the manufacturing process.
Who performs the testing?
An independent third-party analytical lab, not Prolific Peptides itself, issues a COA for every lot, matched to the batch number printed on the vial. COA-issuing labs may vary by supplier.
What if my batch tests below the stated purity?
Contact support immediately with your batch number. Any lot that tests below its guaranteed threshold will be replaced or refunded.
Documentation
Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
Yes. Every lot has a COA confirming identity and purity, available on our website and looked up using the batch/lot number printed on the vial label. Additional documentation is available on request.
Can I see lot-specific testing data before I order?
Yes — visit our COA / 3rd-party testing page or contact support with the product SKU for current lot documentation.
Ordering & Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), plus ACH. Contact support for institutional payment arrangements.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Orders can typically be modified or canceled within 24 hours of placement, provided they haven’t shipped. Email support as soon as possible.
What am I confirming when I place an order?
By purchasing, you confirm you are a qualified researcher or institution buying for lawful research use only, and that you will not use, resell, or represent our products for human or veterinary consumption, diagnosis, treatment, or therapeutic use.
Do you offer wholesale or bulk pricing?
Yes, tiered pricing is available for qualified resellers, distributors, and research labs. Apply via our sales or contact email.
Do you offer bulk or larger reconstitution vial sizes for labs?
Yes — bulk reconstitution sizes are available for qualified labs and researchers, either directly from the product page for select SKUs or by contacting support with your requirements. Bulk requests are limited to verified research and institutional buyers, consistent with our RUO sales policy.
Do you supply lab equipment such as vials, pipettes, or scales?
We plan to offer lab supplies — including vials, pipettes, and high-accuracy scales — directly in the future. In the meantime, these items may be available by request; contact support to check current availability. As with all products, lab supply requests are limited to verified research and institutional buyers.
Shipping & Delivery
How fast do orders ship?
Orders placed before 12:00 PM EST typically ship same or next business day; orders placed after typically ship the next business day.
Do peptides need to be shipped cold?
No. Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides are stable at room temperature for several weeks, so standard shipping does not affect purity.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, to select countries where legally permitted. Customs timelines and fees vary by destination.
Is shipping free?
Free standard shipping on orders over $250; a flat rate of $12 applies below that threshold for domestic shipments within the US. Exact shipping cost and delivery timing vary by shipping method and destination selected at checkout.
What if my order arrives damaged or doesn’t arrive?
Email support with your order number (and photos, for damage claims) within 7 days of delivery. We’ll send a replacement or issue a refund at no cost to you.
Storage & Handling (Lab Reference)
How should I store unreconstituted peptides?
Short-term (under ~30 days): a cool, dark place at room temperature. Long-term: refrigerated or frozen storage with a desiccant packet, away from light and humidity, is recommended for lyophilized peptides not reconstituted promptly after delivery.
How do I know if a peptide has degraded?
Lyophilized powder should be white and free-flowing; discoloration or clumping indicates degradation. Reconstituted solution should be clear and colorless.
Where can I find reconstitution protocols for a specific product?
Contact support with your product SKU and institutional/research affiliation. Reconstitution protocols are provided directly to verified research and institutional buyers rather than published on this page.
Returns & Refunds
What is your return policy?
Unopened, unused items are eligible for return within 7 days of delivery. Products that arrive damaged, mislabeled, or below stated purity are replaced or refunded.
What do I need for a damaged-item claim?
Your order number and clear photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label, submitted within 7 days of delivery.
Legal & Compliance
Are Prolific Peptides products legal to purchase?
Yes — products are sold as research chemicals for laboratory and in-vitro use only, consistent with our RUO labeling and marketing practices. They are not FDA-approved for human consumption, and buyers are responsible for compliance with the laws of their own state or country.
Is Prolific Peptides a compounding pharmacy?
No. Prolific Peptides is a chemical supplier, not a compounding pharmacy or outsourcing facility under Sections 503A/503B of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
Do you provide dosing or protocol guidance?
No — Prolific Peptides does not provide dosing, administration, or usage protocols. All products are supplied for laboratory research only.
Is this product safe? / What are the side effects?
Human safety has not been established for these compounds, and they are not evaluated, approved, or intended for human or veterinary use. Published research is limited to laboratory and in-vitro or animal studies; we’re not able to speak to personal safety or outcomes.
Can I get advice on combining or stacking products?
No — we do not advise on combinations, protocols, timing, or any form of personal use.
Has the recent FDA peptide review changed anything about your products?
In July 2026, an FDA advisory committee voted to recommend several peptides for potential inclusion on a separate list used by licensed compounding pharmacies. This vote is non-binding, does not approve any peptide, and does not change the RUO status of products sold here. Our products remain sold strictly for laboratory research use, unchanged by this or any other pending regulatory review.
Do you provide research literature or clinical study references?
Yes — our Research Library summarizes published third-party research on compounds we carry, for informational and research purposes only. This content is separate from product listings and does not constitute a claim about any specific product’s effects.
Does this product work for [a specific outcome]?
We don’t make or imply claims about individual outcomes. Our Research Library summarizes published third-party research for informational purposes only — it does not represent a claim about what any specific product will do for you.
Who is responsible for claims made about your products?
Prolific Peptides, LLC — the operating company — is solely responsible for all product claims and descriptions on this site. Neither our payment processor nor the statement descriptor that appears on your billing statement represents or endorses product claims in any way.
Can I leave a product review?
We do not host on-site product reviews. This keeps customer feedback from inadvertently implying human use or outcomes, which would be inconsistent with our RUO sales policy. If you’d like to share feedback, independent trust platforms (e.g., Trustpilot) are a better fit.
Support
How do I contact Prolific Peptides support?

Prolific Peptides typically offers a first-order discount for signing up to our email list, plus a referral program and a free-shipping threshold. Other promotional discounts may be offered but vary. Discounts and referral rewards do not change the buyer eligibility requirements outlined above.
